In addition to calling us when needing repairs or a replacement, many customers are recognizing the value of signing up for the Genesee Heating & Air Conditioning HVAC maintenance program. It includes scheduled visits by one of our NATE-certified technicians, who will:
- Check for leaks from refrigerant lines, the AC condensate line and the heat exchanger, as leaks can force your system to work harder than it should.
- Clear your system’s components of debris that could affect its efficiency and cause dust and allergens to enter your home, affecting indoor air quality.
- Examine wires and terminals for corrosion, which can cause your HVAC system to turn on and off unexpectedly.
- Lubricate the HVAC motor.
- Confirm that electric components are functioning properly and that ductwork is in good condition.
- Clean the AC condensation drain line.
- Replace the air filter.
- Make sure no issues with hot and cold air distribution exist.
